Transparent PET Film is a clear biaxially oriented polyester film selected for balanced stiffness, tensile strength, and dimensional stability. It tracks more consistently than many softer polyolefin films, helping maintain print registration, web alignment, and sheet handling during ordinary converting.
Transparency should be assessed through light transmittance, haze, gloss, flatness, and visible-defect inspection. Suitable clear grades may show light transmittance around 89-91% and haze around 0.5-2.0%, depending on thickness and grade. Standard clear film is not automatically optical grade. An approved sample can define acceptable gels, specks, scratches, wrinkles, damaged edges, and handling marks.
Slit rolls suit continuous printing, coating, and lamination. Cut PET sheets are practical for screen printing, overlays, templates, stencils, transparent covers, and general sheet converting. Confirm core size, winding direction, sheet flatness, edge condition, and interleaving before production.

What Should Be Checked Before Transparent PET Film Enters Printing or Lamination?
Approval should use the actual ink, adhesive, curing conditions, and equipment speed. Confirm whether the film is untreated or supplied with a basic treated side before loading. Printing trials should check wetting, tape adhesion, rub resistance, and cure completion. Lamination trials should inspect adhesive wet-out, bubbles, silvering, curl, and edge separation after curing. A trial roll is more reliable than a hand sample for checking tracking, tension, flatness, and dimensional stability on the intended line. A controlled dyne level or adhesion primer requires the corresponding treated PET film.
